It’s Friday, but Sunday’s coming!

Hello Church,

I hope you are planning to gather together with your church family again this Sunday morning. It’s been a long busy week for me, and it probably has been the same for you.  Being busy isn’t bad, but it does often lead to being tired and needing some rejuvenation.  Hopefully, coming together for worship and fellowship gives us that.  We might think we’re better off staying in bed or heading to the coast or getting other stuff done around the house—but we’d be wrong about that.  God deserves our worship, and he intends to bless us through worship, and we make a massive mistake when we take him and his blessings for granted.

This Sunday during the sermon time, I’m going to try and give us—especially our parents and teens—things to think about that I hope will help us all maintain a godly focus and perspective.  I’m planning to talk about how it’s okay for us to say ‘no’ to different people and things.  I’m not talking about the popular trend to say ‘no’ to opportunities to serve in an effort to focus on ourselves.  I’m talking about saying ‘no’ to things so that we can put more focus on God and the healthy relationships he wants for us.  Please be praying that God will use this time to bless us all.

See you soon,

Patrick
