It’s Friday, but Sunday’s Comin’!
Good Friday, Church. The weather is starting to feel more like fall, and hopefully you are enjoying the cooler temperatures. While we’re thankful for the blessings of pleasant weather, we know that millions along the Gulf Coast are really suffering now and will be experiencing new challenges for many months to come as a result of Hurricane Harvey.
Rich Sale, our benevolence deacon, has a plan in place that will help us help those in need. There is a brief description of that plan in this Sunday’s bulletin, and we’ll
talk more about it Sunday morning when we gather for worship. The collection we’re taking is being held on September 10, which gives us all more time to prepare and save for whatever monetary gift you want to offer.
We’re talking this and next Sunday about what love is and what love looks like in practice. It would be a shame if all we did was talk.
