Good day, Church!
We’re a couple of days into the new week already, and I hope your mood is better than the weather. Even though it is dreary outside, we can still be thankful for the good we experience in this life. And remember, all good things come from God (James 1:17).

Here’s a little good advice for the remainder of your week: look for small ways to bless people around you. Jesus was able to do big things for people to improve their lives and give them hope that God really welcomed them into his kingdom. You and I aren’t going to raise the dead, restore life to dead limbs, cure diseases, or otherwise heal people the way Jesus did. But that doesn’t mean we can’t follow his example of seeing a need and addressing it with mercy.

You can probably come up with better ideas that fit your particular context and giftedness, but here are a few ideas to get you started:
• Buy someone a cup of coffee
• Send someone an encouraging note, email, text, etc.
• Smile more on purpose
• Hold the door for someone
• Give an unexpected compliment
• Talk less about politics 🙂
• Help someone shovel their driveway
• Invite someone new over for dinner

If you spend a few minutes thinking and praying about it, I’m sure God will help you identify a recipient and a method for sharing God’s kindness and mercy. Enjoy!
