What Do You Desire?
Youth Rally 2022! It has been so exciting to host our regional youth rally again after the hiatus brought on by COVID restrictions. We have had multiple congregations from multiple states represented here this weekend, and some of them have stayed over for worship with us this morning. Be sure to say hello if you get the opportunity.
We have also been blessed to have former members and minister Chet, Rachel, and Ivy Duke with us for the weekend. Chet will be preaching and teaching a combined auditorium class today (some adult classes are still meeting, so check with your teacher or for a not on your classroom door), so we’ll have two opportunities to learn from him this morning.
After today, we will only have six Sundays left this year. I want to challenge you to commit to being here for worship all six of those weeks. Now that we’ve completed our year-long study through the Gospel of Mark, I’ll be starting a new sermon series on “The Mission of God and Us.” I hope it will educate and inspire us as a church, which is described in the New Testament as the body of Christ and the temple of God. I also hope it informs and motivates us as individual servants and children of God to grow more and more into the image of Christ as God intends for us to do. We do that by his grace and by the transforming, sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit. It seems like we should really be excited about that!
As is always the case, if you have any needs or questions, please reach out to me, to one of our shepherds/elders, or to someone you trust who puts their faith in God. It was a great feeling to be Amont many brethren for the youth rally at the Manchester Church of Christ. we truly enjoy every bit of it. The Providence Church of Christ thank you guys so much for the warm hospitability that was given to us. let us continue to defense the faith we profess to have as the lord’s church.
