Everywhere!

“We will leave here and go to Bethel. There I will build an altar to God, who has helped me during my time of trouble. He has been with me everywhere I have gone.”Gen. 35:3

The Lord sent Jacob back to the place he received the Lord’s help after he deceived his brother, Esau.

Jacob claimed God had been with him everywhere he had gone, and was still him.  We can claim the same. 

It was at the seat of his deception that Jacob was asked to return and build an altar on new terms with God; and it was there God changed his name his name to Israel.

God never leaves us.  He sees all we do.  He will meet us where we are. He will help right our wrongs.  He will take us where we need to be.  

God is everywhere.  He is in your past, He is with you in the present and is waiting for you in the future.

Where is God meeting you today? Is He taking you back to the seat of your mistake, your deceit, your betrayal? You may have to correct it in order to move forward. 

Your past does not define who you are, and it does not predict your future unless you let it. Choose to direct your next steps with the God that is everywhere.
