Where Could I Go?

Where Could I Go?

Hello, Church!
God gave us another day to keep working, to keep serving, to keep loving, and to keep living. Let’s not forget to thank him for that. As we were reminded by looking at the story of Hannah in 1 Samuel 1-2 yesterday morning, “there is no rock like our God.”

It’s easy to say that when everything is going well; it’s a lot harder to say when nothing seems to be going right. The truth, however, is that God is constantly working to make everything right. Not necessarily easy, comfortable, or according to our timeline. But he is working to make things right according to his perfect wisdom and will. He always acts out of love, and he never gets it wrong.

Hannah showed us that when life isn’t flowing the direction we want it to go, it’s still our responsibility to take our thoughts and our emotions to God. He listens and responds—even if we can’t perceive it just yet. But trust that God will take care of us and work things out according to his mission in ways that won’t leave us behind. He is faithful. He is kind. And he is the one we should always go to.

I’ve linked to an old familiar song that echoes the same refrain: “Where could I go, oh where could I go, seeking a refuge for my soul? Needing a friend to save me in the end, where could I go but to the Lord?” I hope it gives you some encouragement and motivation to keep grinding and to never give up on God.

God bless,
Patrick
