I was really excited to see so many people in worship last Sunday. We had 290, which I think is our second largest crowd of the year so far. Sometimes the worship attendance shrinks as summer and the warm weather arrive, but hopefully we will buck that trend this year.
As this weeks comes to a close, and you consider how to spend your weekend, be sure to prioritize time with God. As we started the year six months ago, we talked about all of us spending a “Good 10 Minutes” with God each day. That’s a simple 5 minutes of reading and 5 minutes of prayer, and its brief enough that everybody can do it. If you never started or started and quit, take this reminder as a good opportunity to begin again. This life is all about new beginnings, thanks to Jesus.
Sunday morning, we’ll talk some about living out that new beginning as we wait for our “eternal home in the heavens.” There’s more info in the bulletin article about that.
