What Do You See?
Welcome to Manchester where our goal is to help everyone experience the love and grace of God. Some of you are here every week. Some of you come a few times a year with family or friends. Some of you are worshiping with us for the first time ever. All of you are welcome. This is the place to be on Sunday morning, because we all come together to thank God for his active presence in our lives and to be refueled for the week to come.
If the whole world knew for a fact that Jesus was going to return today, everyone in their right mind would be “in church” praising God and seeking salvation. But we don’t know when Jesus will return, and many in the world don’t believe, so those of us who do believe still have a lot of sharing and serving to do. Jesus wasn’t playing around when he ministered to the people around him, because he knew what was at stake. I hope today’s worship helps us all focus on Jesus’ identity and purpose in ways that help us figure out our own.
Everything we’re doing this morning is stitched together with that goal in mind, and I’ve been praying that God would bless every person who comes to join in this time together. That means you. If I or others of us who are part of this church family in Manchester can be of any help to you at all, please let me know. We’d love to study, pray, chat, grab a meal together—whatever we can do to help you see Jesus more clearly. You can call/text me at 316-200-7780, email me at patrick@manchestercofc.org, or tap me on the shoulder before you leave today. May God bless us all.
