The purpose of the Orphans and At-Risk Kids (OAKs) Ministry is to be an information center for those in the church who are interested in fostering or adopting children who need a home. We also administer a fund to provide supplemental grants for approved families who are in the process of adopting so that adoption becomes a more affordable option for those who are willing to open their home to children in need. Since fostering and adoption are often complex undertakings, we also intend to develop support teams within the church who are attempting to foster or adopt. You can serve in this ministry by being a part of our information committee or by joining one of our support teams. See Patrick Barber to get plugged in!
Currently, the OAKs Ministry has the following opportunity for us to serve in the community.
Do you want to help bless a child in local foster care? Here’s a new opportunity as we expand our ministry to Orphans and At-risk Kids (OAKs).
