This will be a drive-thru donation event to collect food and needed supplies for the MACC Pantry.
A list of most needed items can be found below. Here’s how it works!
- Gather unopened, non-perishable food items from your own home pantry, (expired foods can’t be donated so please check the dates). Grocery shopping is fine as well if you’re able and comfortable doing so.
- Place the groceries in your trunk or on your backseat in disposable grocery bags. Paper and plastic bags are free right now at all the grocery stores and that would be the most convenient way to deliver your donation.
- On Saturday May 9th, bring your items to the church’s parking lot between 10:00 AM and 12:00. All you will have to do is pull up and pop your trunk. Someone will be there to unload your donations.
- No one donating items will ever leave their cars!
Items to especially consider: kid-friendly snacks and foods, juice boxes, diapers, feminine hygiene products, canned meats (tuna, chicken, salmon, ham), canned beans, canned vegetables, cooking oils, crackers, canned or dried fruits, instant mashed potatoes, nuts, pasta, peanut butter, rice, whole grain cereal, soups with protein in them, and granola bars.
Items to try and avoid; high sugar/sodium foods, items in glass containers or ones that require special tools to open. Pop-top cans are a plus!
