DivorceCare

DivorceCare

DivorceCare is a ministry that serves adults suffering from the pain and disorientation caused by the emotional injuries connected with separation and divorce.  DivorceCare is a community-facing ministry that also serves members of the congregation struggling with separation and divorce.  The ministry is built around content designed by a third-party Christian counseling organization and operates in 13-week sessions.  Each session is two hours, and sessions are currently offered on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.  Sessions begin with a discussion of homework completed in relation to the prior week’s topic.  Participants then watch a 30-minute video on a specific topic, followed by a group discussion for approximately an hour. DivorceCare is a self-help support group that employs “talk therapy” and positive Christian coping to reduce the stress and anxiety connected with separation and divorce.
