Anger
The war between God and the accuser, Satan; started in heaven, followed to earth and was defeated at the cross, and will end when Christ comes back for those who love and serve Him.
“So rejoice, you heavens and all who live there! But it will be terrible for the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you! He is filled with anger, because he knows he does not have much time.” Revelation 12:12
“But when perfection comes, the things that are not perfect will end.” 1 Corinthians 13:10
The perfect One has defeated the angry one. The war is won, and although evil may know it; pride pushes his anger forward. So, in his short time, and with his raging anger, he wages battles against God to rob Him of what belongs to Him, us. “We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.” Heb. 12:2
Though Satan’s anger burns brighter in his final hours, we remain steadfast, grounded in God’s love and triumph. The cross sealed the enemy’s fate, and Christ’s return will bring ultimate restoration. Until then, we rise above the fray, empowered by the perfect One who has conquered darkness. With hope and courage, we face the future, knowing God’s victory is our own.
Resist the angry one with God’s love. Do not give into the fear he wants you to experience. Keep our eyes on Jesus; the angry one has no power over us unless we give it to him.
“We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world. Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.” 1 John 4:16-18
Love triumphs over anger.
