It is the best gift we can offer God as His creation.
“Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness; let us exalt his name together.” Psalms 34:3
God’s great power is cause for praise.
We were created at His command. Sit with this thought for a moment. Can you get your mind around who God is, and what He did with merely the command of His voice?
Let our response be;
Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the skies. Let us praise the Lord, because we were created by his command. From Psalm 148: 1, 5
If God’s breath created the world into existence, why do we hesitate to trust Him with our needs? Trust the One that can speak His desires into reality.
“The Lord merely spoke, and the heavens were created. He breathed the word, and all the stars were born. He assigned the sea its boundaries and locked the oceans in vast reservoirs. Let the whole world fear the Lord, and let everyone stand in awe of him. For when he spoke, the world began! It appeared at his command.” Ps 33:6-9
His greatness should bring us to our feet. And His “why” should melt our hearts.
His why was His son. “All things were made through Christ and for Christ. He was there before anything was made, and all things continue because of him. He is the head of the body, which is the church. Everything comes from him. He is the first one who was raised from the dead. So in all things, Jesus has first place. And through Christ, God has brought all things back to himself again—things on earth and things in heaven. God made peace through the blood of Christ’s death on the cross.” Colossians 1:16-18
Best of all, God wants us with Him and that alone is enough to keep us in praise.
“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.” John 14:1-3
Praise God for He is the perfect Host. When everything is ready, He will send His precious Son to get us. We will have an escort into His beautiful home.
“So you, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know what day your Lord is coming.”Matthew 24:42
He is coming back! Praise God
