Tears

Tears

Tears

It comforts me that God collects our tears, stores them in His bottle, and records them in his mighty book.

“You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book?” Psalm 56:8

Jesus experiences this life with us and knows the “tear” well.  He held people who cried. He touched eyes. He wiped tears away.  He shed His tears.  His mighty heart ached with and for us; and He intercedes for us with His Father.

“Jesus wept.” John‬ ‭11‬:‭35‬ ‭

Can you imagine this; Jesus leaning over to His Father from where He sits at His right side, ruling over all,  and when He sees us cry, takes a moment to stop and whisper to His Father,  “I know that feeling well.”

“Now Jesus has gone into heaven and is at God’s right side ruling over angels, authorities, and powers.”  1 Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭22‬

I believe God looks forward to the day He will wipe our tears away for the final time and will no longer collect our tears of sorrow, regret, and pain; rather, He will enjoy seeing us weep with joy to be in His presence, heaven.

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death, sadness, crying, or pain, because all the old ways are gone.” Revelation 21:4

What tears has God collected for you? Each one matters to Him and the Father who knows the number of hairs on your head, has not missed one tear shed.

“What is the price of five sparrows—two copper coins ? Yet God does not forget a single one of them. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭12‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭

God cherishes and protects our tears.
