“God looked at everything he had made, and it was very good.” Genesis 1:31
Everything God made was very good in His almighty eyes. So, the next time you look in the mirror, recite Genesis 1:31 out loud.
I challenge you to state it every day in front of the mirror for a month’s time.
He created “you” and still sees that what He created in you as very good.
May we glorify Him in His creation of “us”, and refuse comparison to anyone else. Honor His creation and stop saying things that start with “I only wish I could change ” or “if I only looked like”. God is impressed with our heart, not our outward selves; develop one that pleases Him.
Did you know that the Creator of the universe sings over His created? “For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty Warrior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs; *loud singing. *ESV Zephaniah 3:17 I love to envision this verse, especially on my birthday.
Choose to love what God fashioned in the making of you; you are one of a kind. He believes you are very good. Who else’s opinion do you need?
Remind another woman of her beauty in the eyes of God. Tell her you can hear God stating Genesis 1:31 over her. It is very good!
